Unfortunately Thailand, due to complex socio-economic factors, has become a destination for sex tourism. A minority of young women desperate to support their families have decided to make money through prostitution, sometimes through no choice of their own. This has led to some massage parlors becoming a front for brothels and consequently Thai massage has gained a bad reputation. However, the ancient Buddhist traditions of genuine Thai massage existed well before this and continue to do so within many massage practices.

Please be aware that Wat pho Therapies is based on the Buddhist principles of respect and dignity. We offer high quality massage treatments and massage treatments only.

Massage Attire

Please wear the massage clothes given to you, or appropriate massage attire like sweats. Men must wear their underwear.

Appointment Times

Please arrive on time or a few minutes before your appointment time, as we wish you to get the most out of your treatment and it may be cut short if you are late. Mobile phones and electronic devices are discouraged, peace and relaxation is to the upmost importance.

Medical

Guests who have high blood pressure, heart conditions, allergies, or any other medical complications are advised to consult their doctors before booking treatments. Kindly inform staff of any existing medical conditions. we are unable to provide treatments for guests who are pregnant, have given birth in the last 3 months or suffer from or varicose thrombosis.

Payment

We only accept cash payments at our premises. You can use your plastic by prepaying on our website, just select the treatment you wish and follow the instructions provided. A member of our team will contact you to arrange your appointment time.

Gift Certificates and refunds

Gift vouchers are available for all treatments. Payment is accepted by cash or credit card/ debit cards online. Please telephone or email your request and we will be happy to assist you. Gift vouchers are valid for up to 6 months and non-refundable.

Cancellations

We do not operate a policy for charging for cancellations, therefore we respectfully ask clients to inform us as soon as possible if they have to cancel, as this obviously impacts on our bookings schedule.

If you don't turn up to an appointment without contating us, we may ask for a payment in advance before any future bookings can be taken.
